Presentation of the new menu for the 2017 summer season

Ristorante Numero Unico with Chef Anthony Virzì are delighted to present the new menu for the 2017 summer season rich in novelties and original, simple and unique dishes that combine top quality ingredients with local cuisine, enhancing flavours, aromas, scents and colours of a unique territory.

 

In the appetizers you will still find our gray salt Beef Tartare as well as the Selection of Pecorino cheeses with Jams and the Tuscan Plate with an assortment of local delicatessen. Among the novelties we recommend the Grilled Aubergine Roll with burrata on a cream of zucchini and truffle oil or try the Pecorino Flan with an acacia honey and pear coulis. For fish enthusiasts we offer a delicious and soft Octopus stewed in a spicy tomato sauce with tasty potato chips.

 

Among our pasta courses you should not miss out our “home specials” like the Open Raviolo with a freshly heart of burrata cheese and our Artisan Spaghetti with shrimp tails, pistachio and orange grains. For meat lovers, we offer Fresh Tagliatelle with cinta senese sauce with fennel seeds and Pici Senesi with cheese, pepper and streaky bacon or you can choose the beef and pork Tuscan Ragù. For those wishing something fresh we propose Potato Gnocchi with our “house pesto” made with almond, basil and tomato or meet the “Real Italian classic Spaghetti” with fresh tomato sauce and basil.

 

Among the main courses excellent the selection of meats, from the traditional Florentine T-bone steak to our tasty and tender Beef Tagliata, the Roasted Pork Fillet and the Grilled Cockerel, all presented in an extraordinary and appetizing version that will amaze you. A fish dish that we absolutely recommend tasting is the Sea Bass Roll filled with potatoes and tagliasche olives accompanied by a spinach pie and cherry tomatoes confit: just delicious!

 

For those who fancy to taste the typical dishes of the Siennese tradition, definitely to not be missed out are our Trippa alla Senese and the delicious Siennese paté or black crostino thanks to ancient recipes revealed by chef Aldo Falcinelli who shares with Ristorante Numero Unico his over fifty years of culinary secrets of the ancient specialities of the city of Siena.

 

And if you wish to end up your meal with sweetness you can choose a Semifreddo all'Amaretto, a semi-frozen cream dessert with a dark chocolate sauce, or taste the real Creme Caramel, according to an old recipe that will surely leave you craving to come back again!

 

You could also be tempted by our Daily Specialities as Fresh Rigatoni or an assortment of cold and warm Brushettas with different toppings, perfect for a light & quick lunch at our “al Fresco” Terrace or by our large glass windows watching the “passeggiata” of the most important city’s street, the famous Via di Città, sipping a glass of Tuscan wine.
